Kaleido 2025

An event representing graphic design graduates

For the graphic design class of 2025, we were tasked with creating a grad show event to showcase student works from over the years to strangers, graphic designers, and other aspiring creatives. Working together as a team, the word kaleido was chosen to represent the theme for the event. Like a kaleidoscope, the word kaleido represents design shifting, evolving, and ever-changing.

Inspiration & Ideation

For the logo, I wanted the colors to feel fluid and dynamic, like ribbons twisting and turning. I incorporated the sharp edges and fluid curves like a real kaleidoscope. With my design team members, we narrowed the colour palette down to four. These would be the foundation of other elements used in our branding, like individual kaleidoscopes made by classmates, print, and digital advertisements.

Result
